Head To Toe Offers PRP Facials
If you were from the “other side of the pond,” you might refer to this as a “bloody cool facial,” but we expect folks here in Georgia to say the same thing, once they’ve tried it.
PRP stands for “platelet-rich plasma,” and the procedure uses your own blood, which is placed into a centrifuge to separate the platelets from the blood cells, creating a rich concoction featuring your very own stem cells!
Using a microneedling procedure, your platelets are infused into your skin to promote natural collagen production. The result is radiant, youthful skin, without harmful chemicals or other ingredients that might trigger an adverse reaction.
How does it work?
Think of it this way: when you cut your finger, your body sends white blood cells to the site to immediately protect the area and begin the healing process. PRP utilizes your body’s natural ability to heal, creating a perceived trauma (microneedling) and assisting with the production of collagen (which diminishes as we age).
Will I require “down time”?
PRP using microneedling requires no down time. Soothing lotion or your regular cosmetics are all you need to look and feel “normal,” should you experience mild redness. *Be sure to ask Arlene about skin care products; you should never use over-the-counter products, especially after a professional spa treatment.
When will I see results?
You will begin to see results within the first 24-48 hours. Best of all, you don’t have to repeat the procedure immediately, as your PRP microneedling treatment provides long-term results.
How do I know if PRP microneedling is right for me?
PRP microneedling procedure is very effective in the treatment of acne scarring, skin discolorations, dark shadows, “sagging” skin, or lines and wrinkles. Arlene at Head To Toe will be able to help you decide whether to include PRP as part of your skincare treatment regimen.
See you at the spa, Dah-ling!
